Los Cabos - Where to Stay and Where to Eat
When it comes to nightlife, San Jose del Cabo is a quieter place and doesn’t have the late night club scene found in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo Wabo Cantina, El Squid Roe and the Giggling Marlin Bar and Grille are the most famous nightspots in Cabo. If you exhaust those and are ready for more partying, go downtown and check out the Mambo Café and the Zoo Bar and Dance. For cigar aficionados, you’ll be happy to know that you (and your cigar) are welcome in the various cigar clubs in Los Cabos.
There’s no shortage of fine dining in Los Cabos and of course, the presence of more tourists in Cabo San Lucas dictates a greater quantity of eateries there than in San Jose del Cabo.
Mi Casa is a fabulous Mexican restaurant, featuring authentic food in an atmosphere of artwork and handicrafts. For more Mexican food, check out Don Emiliano’s and the Baja Cantina. Because of all the fishing done there, seafood is dominant in most of the area’s restaurants. The Seven Seas restaurant is one to try and Mocambo’s is good enough for real fisherman to eat there. Enough said.
The Sunset da Mona Lisa serves Italian food and offers breathtaking views of El Arco at the tip of Los Cabos. It’s incredibly romantic and a place worthy of any wedding reception. Damiana, which is located in San Jose del Cabo, is a renovated 18th century hacienda that oozes romance and serves Mexican specialties and seafood.
Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos rises above the Sea of Cortez and is a full service resort pleasing to couples and families alike.
Hotel Riu Palace Cabo is an exclusive resort on Medano Beach near downtown Cabo San Lucas. It has five restaurants and even its own disco. If you’re on a budget the Villa del Palmar Resort, also on Medano beach, provides all you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Siesta Suites is a great place you can book for a steal, near the Marina and not far from downtown Cabo.
If you want a more romantic getaway, Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa is a luxurious hotel situated between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It has nothing but suites with ocean views and is simply spectacular. The Esperanza is a beachfront paradise offering seclusion for couples wanting privacy. They even offer outdoor showers for two!
Other attractions in Los Cabos include the Los Cabo Dolphins Center, and fishing tours.
